Seeing, hearing and reading the news of 14 years girls had been shot because she stood and wanted girls and women in her country “Pakistan” to be given more rights in obtaining education and women’s rights.
I personally have high respect for her and what she stands for, although being only 14 years old, she was able to stand for her right. Malala was able to demonstrate to the whole world what she and others in her country are facing to be able to access knowledge and enhance their lifestyle. She was able to use different technologies to send her message across the world. The message was that girls and women of the world have all the right to education.
The gunmen belong to a fanatic group called Taleban, where by this group they believe that they are presenting the true teachings of Islam, and they believe that they are the armor that protects the Muslims around the world from the western wave of philosophy and way of life. They impose laws on people by force, they interpret Islam Sharia Laws the way that fits their own view of point to the world around them, neglecting the true spirit of Islam as a religion to the universe around them. For a matter of fact, as a Muslim and follower of Islam faith we are asked to seek knowledge no matter where we are, in Islam both man and women have rights that are noted in the Holy Qaran and the Prophet Mohammed’s teaching peace be upon him.
However, people do get caught up between religion teaching and customs, where by religion teachings is far superior to the norms and culture believes, which I love to call it “the song” where by people like to swing between different notes to create a new song for masses to hear and the source of the song comes from the teaching of Islam and Culture/ Custom, that enable them to find a way to fit their own view of the world around them “my way or the high way”, the new song becomes part of the daily life of society, and turn truth to lie and lie to truth, creating a misleading realty of Islam and Muslim around the world. During Prophet Mohammed’s time peace be upon him, women used to get opportunity to get together and site with the Prophet to ask him questions not only about the teaching of Islam but also about their right toward their family, and their family right toward them and their right to word society and society right to ward them.
In my modest view reading, educating yourself or even searching for knowledge is not a major part of our society of the Middle East and Sub-Continent of Asia, ignorant souls will always be influenced and moved by individuals, religious or political groups, when a cremistaic religious leader with unknown political agenda has a powerful and the upper hand in moving the masses emotion by using and twisting the religion teaching the fits his or her view. Since knowledge is power and obtaining that power in their fingertips, they believe that they have the right to influence people’s daily life activity and belief, time pass by and those activity will be part of the culture without anyone paying attention to dramatic changes in society behavior, and if an individual or a group of people in the society ask them or even challenge them in a view of point they have presented to the public, the doors of hell will be open on them, and they would make sure to move the mass on the street on a mission to destroy the enemy of Islam in their twisted view of the world.
The incident of Malala made people emotions move, which resulted in people questioning those leaders or groups, who gave them the right to decide on the behave of the society, who made the well grade of the society life, function and rights. The public are turning toward their government to ask them to limit and even eliminate the powers of such people, to put and set the right foundation for civil life between members of society were by every person have the right to education, and development of human capital.
